I grew up watching my brothers play Pokémon and Mario games. When it was finally my turn to play, it was with Pokémon X and 3DS games. To see a device like this that can play all the retro games brings back great memories from my childhood, when my family and I would play Pokémon and Mario games. Now I can play games like Super Mario 3 on the Game Boy Advance and project it even to my TV. This is going to be a great addition to family get-togethers!

Absolutely love my Retrobit Elite 2.0 (Mini)! The controls are super comfortable in my hands, and the screen really makes the colors pop. Downloading games from Vim Lair was a breeze—just drag them onto the memory card and play. Mario Double-Dash feels amazing!

    📶Controllers, Multiplayer & TV Connection

    📡 Bluetooth Controller Support

The device features Bluetooth 5.x, allowing you to pair most modern wireless controllers (DualShock, DualSense, Xbox, 8BitDo, etc.).

    How to pair:

    • Open Settings → Bluetooth → Turn On on your console.
    • Put your controller into pairing mode.
    • Select it from “Available devices” and confirm pairing.
    • Ready to play! You can also remap buttons inside emulators like RetroArch.

    👥 Multiplayer Setup

    • Supports multiple controllers for local co-op.
    • After pairing one controller, simply repeat the pairing process for a second, third, or more.
    • Wired controllers via USB are also supported in many emulators.
    • Don’t forget to enable multiplayer input devices in emulator settings so all controllers are detected.

📺 TV / External Display Connection

    • The handheld supports 1080p video output through USB-C with DisplayPort.

    How to connect:

    • Use a USB-C to HDMI adapter or cable.
    • Plug into your console and then into your TV/monitor.
    • Switch to “Project Desktop” or “External Display” mode for smoother performance.
    • Launch your emulator or app — now you can enjoy gaming on the big screen.

✅ Pro tip: Pair Bluetooth controllers first so you can use the handheld like a console hub when connected to TV.

📥 How to Add Games & Refresh Your Library (Expansion Card or Manual)

Legal note: Add only games you own (backups), public-domain titles, or homebrew.

Option A — Add games with an Expansion (microSD) Card

    1. Power off the Retrobit™ Elite 2.0 (Mini).
    2. Insert the microSD (TF) card with your games into the card slot.
    3. Power on, then open the stock game frontend (RGLauncher).
    4. Refresh the list:

On the system page (e.g., “NES”, “PS1”), press and hold the X button for ~2–3 seconds to bring up Scan, then confirm. This rescans the card and populates new titles.

If nothing appears, set the ROM folder path for that system: Press Select → ROM Setting → “+” → choose the correct ROM folder → Start searching. Grant access if prompted (see below).

Option B — Download ROMs directly on the device (no PC)

    1. Connect to Wi-Fi, open your browser, and download your (legal) game files.
    2. Open Files (or your preferred file manager): move/copy downloads into /ROMs/[system]/ (e.g., /ROMs/PS1/, /ROMs/SNES/). If they’re zipped, extract first with any archive app.
    3. Open RGLauncher:

First time per system: Select → ROM Setting → “+” → pick the folder → Use this folder → Allow access → Start searching.

Later updates: long-press X → Scan to refresh the library.

Option C — Add games with a computer & microSD adapter

    1. Power off the handheld and remove the microSD. Insert it into a microSD→USB adapter on your PC/Mac.
    2. (Optional but recommended for 64GB+ cards) Format as exFAT to avoid the 4 GB single-file limit of FAT32—use default allocation size.
    3. Create a clean folder layout like:
      /ROMs/NES/
      /ROMs/SNES/
      /ROMs/PS1/
      /ROMs/PSP/
      /ROMs/GC/
      /ROMs/Wii/
      /ROMs/PS2/

Then copy your game files into the matching folders. (Simple, system-named subfolders are what the launcher expects when you map paths.)
    4. Safely eject the card, reinsert it in the handheld, and power on.
    5. Open RGLauncherSelect → ROM Setting → “+” to point each system to its folder → Use this folder → Allow access → Start searching. Next time, just long-press X → Scan to refresh.

If your games still don’t show

    • Make sure the microSD was added as Portable storage (not “internal”) the first time Android prompted you. Portable storage keeps the card visible to apps/front-ends.
    • Re-map the folder: Select → ROM Setting → “+” and choose the correct subfolder (e.g., /ROMs/GC/). Then Start searching.
    • Some builds of the stock launcher use X for favorites and long-press X for Scan. If long-press X doesn’t show Scan on your build, use ROM Setting per-system as above.

Tips for large systems (PS2 / GameCube / Wii)

    • Keep disc images in their dedicated folders (e.g., /ROMs/PS2/ for .iso/.chd, /ROMs/GC/ for .iso/.gcm, /ROMs/Wii/ for .wbfs/.iso). Then map each system’s folder in ROM Setting and Scan.
    • Big games transfer faster via PC + adapter than over Wi-Fi. exFAT avoids the 4 GB file cap.

        • PS2 and Gamecube in one console

I was amazed that there is something like this that can play all of the Retro consoles i grew up with. I was heavily into the PS2 and gamecube when I was a kid, and to be able to play both consoles on the same device is a dream come true.

        • Elite and Pocketable

This retro gaming device features a nice compact design. I love playing 3DS and GameCube games on it. It's large enough to accommodate all retro consoles but small enough to fit in my pocket. It's perfect for on-the-go gaming and traveling. The best part is that I can even play my Xbox subscription games on this device as well.

          Rain Leonardo

        • My new travel companion

Having something this powerful and compact is amazing. I take it with me everywhere. It took me some time to get used to the console and learn how to use it, but once I got the hang of it, I was able to download all of my favorite games directly onto the console. I recommend checking the "Add Games" section to save a few bucks on the expansion card. It's a great console, and it exceeds my expectations!
