As someone who grew up with the GameCube, this handheld has been a dream come true. I love being able to play games like Super Smash Bros. Melee and Metroid Prime on a device I can carry everywhere. The emulation is smooth, and the vibrant screen brings these classics to life. Playing Wind Waker again was a surreal experience—I even remembered how much I loved the side quests and exploring the open seas. Highly recommend this to anyone who treasures retro gaming.

The Retrobit Elite 2.0 is a game-changer for fans of PlayStation 2 classics. I’ve been revisiting Final Fantasy X and Metal Gear Solid 3 with no lag or glitches. The controls feel responsive, and the screen makes the games look better than ever. Whether I’m traveling or just relaxing, I can dive back into my favorite PS2 adventures whenever I want. The expandable storage makes adding games super easy too!

I’ve always adored The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker on the GameCube, but I never got the chance to finish it when I was younger. With the Retrobit Gaming Console™ Elite 2.0, I finally purchased the game again just so I could relive my favorite memories and complete the journey. Exploring the Great Sea, collecting heart scales, and doing the side quest with the boat brought back so many nostalgic feelings. Now I can play anywhere—this console is perfect for my daily commute or lounging at home. A must-have for any retro gaming fan!

    📶Controllers, Multiplayer & TV Connection

    📡 Bluetooth Controller Support

    The device features Bluetooth
2.4GHz, allowing you to pair most modern wireless controllers (DualShock, DualSense, Xbox, 8BitDo, etc.).

    How to pair:

    • Open Settings → Bluetooth → Turn On on your console.
    • Put your controller into pairing mode.
    • Select it from “Available devices” and confirm pairing.
    • Ready to play! You can also remap buttons inside emulators like RetroArch.

    👥 Multiplayer Setup

    • Supports multiple controllers for local co-op.
    • After pairing one controller, simply repeat the pairing process for a second, third, or more.
    • Wired controllers via USB are also supported in many emulators.
    • Don’t forget to enable multiplayer input devices in emulator settings so all controllers are detected.

📺 TV / External Display Connection

    • The handheld supports 1080p video output through USB-C with DisplayPort.

    How to connect:

    • Use a Micro-HDMI adapter or cable.
    • Plug into your console and then into your TV/monitor.
    • Switch to “Project Desktop” or “External Display” mode for smoother performance.
    • Launch your emulator or app — now you can enjoy gaming on the big screen.

✅ Pro tip: Pair Bluetooth controllers first so you can use the handheld like a console hub when connected to TV.

    📥 How to Add Games

Legal note: Add only games you own (backups), public-domain titles, or homebrew.

Option A — Add games with an Expansion (microSD) Card

    1. Power off the Retrobit™
    2. Insert the microSD (TF 2 slot) card with your games into the card slot.
    3. Power on, then open the folder with the TF2 slot and the games are preloaded.

Option B— Add games with a computer & microSD adapter

    1. Power off the handheld and remove the microSD. Insert it into a microSD→USB adapter on your PC/Mac.
    2. (Optional but recommended for 64GB+ cards) Format as exFAT to avoid the 4 GB single-file limit of FAT32—use default allocation size.
    3. Open the root of the card and you will see the folder layout:
      /ROMs/NES/
      /ROMs/SNES/
      /ROMs/PS1/
      /ROMs/PSP/

Then copy your game files into the matching folders. (Simple, system-named subfolders are what the launcher expects when you map paths.)
    4. Safely eject the card, reinsert it in the handheld, and power on.
    5. The games will be automatically preloaded

        • Bought it for the Gamecube games

I bought this mainly for GameCube emulation, but I've used it for so much more. Wii games run surprisingly well, including some tougher titles, and playing 3DS Pokémon games at 2x resolution with 200% speed is fantastic. I easily added the ROMs to the 128GB microSD card and was ready to go. I'm also interested in trying some Pokémon ROM hacks, especially the Gala of Darkness GameCube hack. Overall, I really enjoy this—it gets more attention than my Switch!

          Melissa G.

        • A Trip Down Memory Lane

As a Pokémon fan, the Retrobit Gaming Console™ Elite 2.0 is a dream come true. It handles games from all generations, including 3DS titles like Pokémon X/Y and Sun/Moon, with smooth gameplay and vibrant graphics.

I love revisiting classics like Red/Blue and enjoying ROM hacks like Pokémon Team Rocket Edition. While my main focus is Pokémon, it also performs well with other games like God of War and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai. For any trainer wanting to catch 'em all, this powerful console is perfect for reliving old favorites or discovering new ones!

          Carlton W.

        • Great to have games from the PS2 and Gamecube again!

As a retro game collector, I’ve always wanted a reliable way to play my PS2 and GameCube library on the go. The Retrobit Elite 2.0 makes this effortless. The emulation quality is exceptional, allowing me to enjoy my favorite games like *Gundam Encounter in Space* and *Ratchet and Clank* beautifully on the OLED screen. Additionally, its lightweight design makes it easy to carry on trips without any hassle. This console truly brings my collection to life wherever I go.

          Brenda L.

        • The Ultimate Retro Machine!

This is way better than I expected. I got it just for GameCube games (Wind Waker, Mario Sunshine, etc.), but I was blown away by how well it runs PS2 games too! It even came preloaded with a Gundam game I played as a kid, which was such a cool surprise. Connecting to a big screen with Bluetooth controllers makes this feel like a modern console for retro gaming. If you’re on the fence, just get it—you won’t regret it!

          Gabby J.

        • Perfect for Co-Op on any Screen

I hooked this up to my TV, paired a Bluetooth controller, and it instantly became the ultimate retro gaming console. It even works well on one of my portable monitors! Playing two-player games like Mario Strikers on a big screen brings back so many childhood memories! The Android games work well, but some require key mapping (which can be tricky). However, once I connected my Xbox controller, it was smooth sailing. If you love old-school games, this is an incredible device to have.

          Calvin F.

        • Xbox Cloud Gaming and Retro Gaming on the Go

The Retrobit Elite 2.0 is a fantastic choice for retro gaming and works perfectly with Xbox Cloud Gaming. I've enjoyed titles like Doom, Forza Horizon 5, and Halo Infinite through Xbox Game Pass, all with great streaming quality and responsive controls. It's my ideal gaming companion for travel.

I'm also revisiting my teenage years with the 3DS catalog—this emulator is incredible! For anyone wanting a mix of retro and modern gaming in one device, the Retrobit Elite 2.0 is the perfect solution. It's my go-to travel buddy for gaming.
